All of our products are collaboratively designed and hand made by us. We strive to accurately represent each piece through our photographs and descriptions, however, please allow for small imperfections. Hand made is imperfect by nature, and reclaimed materials come with the unique battle scars of their previous lives. We find these imperfections an antidote to mass-production uniformity. Imperfection is a virtue!
Repurposing and care for the land are instinctive in agricultural families. We take steps to ensure the pieces we create and the way we create them are mindful of both the environment and the people who will use them. We put reclaimed boards to use in our mirror frames and furniture. Amy's grandfather thought nothing of pulling every last crooked and rusty nail out of an old board to prepare it for future re-use before storing. We are direct beneficiaries of Pop's efforts and we try to keep his methods going. Farm Revival furniture is chock-full of reclaimed elements from retired machinery - including wheels, gears, pulls, and knobs. The Miasa mirror collection incorporates cotton rope, cotton gauze, plaster, and gesso, and in some pieces we were able to install repurposed mirror glass. We use recycled packaging materials whenever possible. All finishes for our collections have been sourced for their environmentally friendly merits, including Miss Mustard Seed’s milk paint and natural wax, YOLO Colorhouse Paint, and the AMF Safecoat line of finishes.
